The movement

For Creatives’ Sake (FCS for short), is so much more than just a business or brand… it’s a movement. But what does that mean?

A movement is a group of people, with a shared idea or goal, who join together to create change and make a difference.

Being a creative woman is amazing! We bring joy, and light, and colour, to life. But, being a creative woman isn’t always easy.

Finding time for your creative hobby, with a never ending to-do list, can be tricky. Having enough energy for your creative side-hustle, on top of everything else, can be hard. Thriving through the ups and downs of your own creative small business, can be challenging.

And generally, just being a creative woman in a society which still has so much inequality, different expectations for women, and often doesn’t value creative skill or passion… can be frustrating.

That’s why it’s so important to be creative for creatives’ sake (for the wellbeing of creatives). We need to empower and inspire each other to keep creating.

Our values

At the centre of For Creatives’ Sake is one core value: to celebrate, support, and encourage creative women in the UK. And the best bit? You can be part of the movement, just by being your wonderful creative self.

You don’t have to do anything to be part of the ‘club’ (just be you!); but, whether you identify as a creative woman in the UK or simply support the values of FCS, you can help spread the movement by sharing our message and content on social media, and joining in the conversation. We welcome kind interaction from everyone.

Our story

Founded by Kerri Awosile in 2024, For Creatives’ Sake is a safe and friendly space for all creative women in the UK.

For now, you can find inspiring stories, wellbeing insight, and creative motivation, on the blog – from Friday Features (interviews with wonderful women who run their own creative small businesses in the UK) to Create It Yourself Features with inspiring projects you can create at home. Along with deeper conversations, further insight, and lots of laughs on the podcast – where, in each episode, Kerri is joined by one or more other creative women to chat about everything from small business life to health and wellbeing.

In time, there will be more ways to celebrate, support, and encourage you – so watch this space.
