Create It Yourself: Spring Creativity

A scrapbook style image of Spring Creativity projects featured on the For Creatives' Sake blog - with a beaded pot/vase cover crochet pattern, mini flower counted cross stitch kit, floral doodle embroidery kit, and a daffodil paper quilling kit.

Spring couldn’t come soon enough in our eyes (the rain and gloomy weather has felt A LOT so far this year, hasn’t it?!). Roll on the brighter days, pretty flowers, chirping birds, and fresh energy. And if you’re thinking the same, here are four projects for some spring creativity, all designed by creative women with small businesses here in the UK…

Daffodil paper quilling kit by TillyViktor

Daffodils are one of the most synonymous symbols of spring in the UK – with their cheerful colours and happy little heads bobbing in the breeze.

So, why not enjoy some spring creativity with this daffodil paper quilling kit by Jess from TillyViktor (Instagram: @tillyviktor).

The kit comes with full instructions and photo guides, templates, and quilling paper strips – but you will need a few extra bits to get started, such as a quilling tool and glue (all available on Jess’s site).

Want some spring creativity in a subtle way? This floral doodle embroidery kit by Steph from Oh Sew Bootiful (Instagram: @ohsewbootiful) feels fresh and fun with a modern and simple colour palette and design – but still with a little nod to spring flowers.

The kit includes everything you need to create your project (except a pair of scissors – although, you can add them too if you like).

Alternatively, if you already have some supplies, you can get just the pre-printed fabric or the digital pattern instead of the whole kit, if you prefer.

Mini flower counted cross stitch kit by Meloca Designs

This mini flower counted cross stitch kit by Megan from Meloca Designs (Instagram: @melocadesigns) is such a simple and sweet spring project.

The design is only just over two inches square, which means you won’t have to wait long to get the joy of seeing your stitching progress. It also means this kit is a great introduction to cross stitch for beginners.

The kit includes full instructions, 14 count white aida fabric, a needle, and threads. Perfect for getting started.
